Reveries of a break year

Hello there, reader!

If you do happen to have kept up with this blog, you very well know that I haven't posted ANY thing out here in over a year. If you are new to my blog, welcome! :D (You can check out my older posts too, if you'd like)

Well, here's the thing. I did unintentionally take a break from blogging as a whole and to be honest, I did miss it. But in reality, it's just that so many things happened in succession from the time I put up the last post, that I kept having to postpone, every time I thought of blogging. Yet, now that I'm here, let me tell you a few things I've discovered.

What happens when a blogger doesn't blog for a while:

1. Time Flies

I cannot tell you HOW true this has felt over the months, for me! To me, this blog was like a little diary that I spilt out my most random thoughts to. But then, when I wasn't able to blog, it did get to an annoying spell of lack of expression, for me, in many ways. This simply meant that I went on and on and on; but the time seemed uncaptured, unrecorded and just flying past!

2. A Best Friend is Amiss

Don't get me wrong. I know this sounds ULTRA-CLICHE but yeah.. having a blog like this (irrespective of who reads or doesn't), is like having a human best friend. Of course, I don't mean the kind that will pick me up when I need a lift or go to my favourite ice-cream parlour with me.... I mean the kind that will actually lend me an ear when I need to rant about that new watch launched by my favourite brand or how a certain professor of mine is unfair in his/her assignment of marks. Well, That, has been what's missing.

3. It's more difficult to keep track

I dare you to deny being or knowing someone who has tried to keep and write a diary... and FAILED! You know it, just as well as I do... Keeping a real, full-fledged diary is difficult and (often) boring.. especially if you are any thing like me. But then, when I used to blog about my experiences, the little things that happened during my week, my poems, etc - to me, it was as good as keeping a diary, if not better. And over these months, I have missed out on so many of such inscriptions in time, that I may just need a moment to finsh crying before I type further.

4. Running out of ideas

I wanted to make this list with atleast 5 good, valid points.. But I just finished three and I've honestly run out of ideas. However!! I would LOVE to know if you are or know any bloggers who stopped blogging and came back after a break... Leave me a comment (Yes... I solemnly swear that I read EACH of them and all them to be seen publically when permitted by the owner) below and we shall see how well this post can be updated. :D

Hope you are, have been and will be well.

Until next time!
